James Kofi Annan is founder and president of Challenging Heights, a non-profit organization located in Ghana that rescues, rehabilitates, educates, and protects children who have been forced to labor in the fishing industry as well as those who are vulnerable to trafficking. A powerful and inspiring individual, James is a highly sought-after speaker when he visits the US and abroad. He has spoken at the 2011 TED convention as well as made appearances on CNN. He was also the recipient of the 2011 Grinnell Young Innovators for Social Justice Award and the 2008 Free the Slaves Frederick Douglass Award.
